All the dishes were cooked to perfection and presented brilliantly -our favourite dish was the trout; simple, clean, elegant and delicious.🥰

On Sunday 12th February, the world of sommelier enthusiasts watched Raimonds Tomsons of Latvia become the ASI Best Sommelier of the World 2023.

We were avidly watching the World Championships and as much as we were rooting for the UK, it was amazing to see Latvia make history as the first eastern European country to win 1st place.

The team here at JDR recently visited this lovely Ukrainian restaurant in Chislehurst. @olekyiv.uk is staffed by Ukrainian residents and bring the culture of Ukraine over to the UK for an amazing dining experience.

One of our personal favourite dishes was the variety of varenyky. If you have never tried this Ukrainian dish, varenyky are made from fresh dough and can have a variety of fillings, which can be salty or sweet, lean or meaty and are presented in a shape that resembles the new moon. In the Ukraine, varenyky have important folklore and even magical significance.

This is a stunning new local restaurant will transport you into a night in the Ukraine, full of culture and traditional food.
